The Pet Industry Seminar & Business Gathering, held at the Oakwood Hotel TMII in East Jakarta, successfully served as a strategic forum bringing together key players in the pet industry from within and outside the country.
The event was fully supported by the Jakarta Pet Expo 2025 as the main sponsor and marked a historic milestone in industry collaboration. For the first time, the Indonesian Pet Shop Association (ASPIN) and the Indonesian Pet Food Entrepreneurs Association (PPMHKI) met in person in an official forum and established concrete cooperation by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Chinese Pet Industry Investor Delegation, the Jiuzhou Pet Industry Union of China.
This Business Gathering marks a crucial starting point for establishing real cooperation between players in the Indonesian pet industry. ASPIN and PPMHKI agreed to unify their vision and develop joint strategies for the advancement of this sector.
This step reflects a shift in perspective—from a more individualistic approach to building a mutually supportive partnership. Both associations recognize that differences in approach, business models, and individual strengths can add value when combined. Together, they can create a stronger, more connected industry ecosystem ready to compete nationally and internationally.
This collaboration opens up numerous new opportunities, from expanding distribution networks and enhancing the competitiveness of local products to attracting investment and technology from foreign partners. This cross-border collaboration is expected to accelerate the development of the Indonesian pet industry, leading to its continued advancement and sustainability.
